Hi there. I'm typing this because there is something on Kickstarter I was wondering if you would be interested in.

On Kickstarter, a group of people are currently trying to build a fleet of robots known as "Coral-bots", the function of which will be to traverse ocean floors and transplant healthy pieces of coral into damaged coral reefs.

The project needs $107,000.00 in order to be completed. They need the money in order to give their robots "eyes" that allow them to see healthy pieces of coral, and arms with which they can transplant the coral. They need to reach the goal by May 27th at 6:13am EDT. As of this post, the project has $26,921.00.

I thought I would find groups here on DA who display an interest in robots and let them know about this project, as I believe they would most likely be interested in seeing this project get funded. If you would like to see more of the project, here is a link to the Kickstarter page.

By the way, I apologize if I seemed weird by just up and showing you this out of the blue. I was wondering if you would be interested. Sure, I could just post a journal entry about it, but I don't think the people I want to reach would see it. Still, apologies if I seemed weird.

I just recently posted my Sigma X1 gps into this group, still in review... but I just wanted to let you know that even though I actually tried to get it into the Robot FanArt folder, but somehow it wasn't letting me, I mean the option to do it was not there. Plus the folder itself couldn't be full already could it? Or do you guys do the arrangements and placements?

Is the "members lounge" folder for art that will later be sorted to the right folder? Or is it something else?

why does this group have a "Sexy Robots - Gynoids" folder, but no folder devoted to the collection of sexy male androids? VERY male-centric group here. I feel like I'm with the progenitors of science fiction - in the early 20th fucking century.
